Overall: Good

Great concept, good segments. However, skip the If I Did It episode. It was offensive to the victims and the Goldman family. Pretty much the Goldman family are greedy and went after the book rights for money, according to them. I couldn’t finish the episode. There’s nothing funny about what happened to Ron and Nicole. They were completely lost in the media circus of the criminal trial. The only justice the families could seek was a civil trial.
Entertaining! I love it

I discovered this podcast fairly recently and I have just finished the entire back log of episodes. I listen to it during my commute to work and when I’m doing paperwork. I love it! Its very entertaining and funny. I like the variety of opinions they give and the different personalities of the ladies here. I’m a little sad now that I’m caught up and have to wait for more!
Ok for book discussions

These 4 have slowly became my best friends who keep me company at work. So funny and relatable. Each has grown on me with Johnna taking the longest but surprisingly taking up the most space on the small heart of mine. Tho Clara and Sarah are my faves Sabrina inspires me to be my own biggest fan like she is hers. I actually have a challenge for the Pod and Sarah if she’s up for the task! I’ll email!
Glad this podcast exists

They are so hilarious and so consistent. This podcast got me through March 2020 lockdowns and then continued to get me through everything since. They read a book I suggested but I was sad that they didn’t hate it as much as I did. Still love them though
I love these 4 so much

I’ve been listening for several years now and I still get so excited when a new episode comes out! Y’all are so funny and charming!! It’s like when you’re a little kid and you eavesdrop on your aunts gossiping. Thank you guys for tearing these terrible books to shreds, it always makes my day.
My comfort podcast

I do have reader friends, but we have very different opinions and tastes and it gets delicate. Mean Book Club fulfills my need to complain about BAD BOOKS THAT ARE BAD. I know it sounds crazy to literally listen to every episode like 3x, but these ladies crack me up and their dynamics are so entertaining. And I appreciate their insights; I’ve read new books because of them (and the books were generally bad!!!). I’d love to hear them take down Whalefall by Daniel Krause, lauded as “scientifically accurate”. I found it predictable as far as father-son relations and needlessly gory. Don’t know what I’d do without you guys—thank you 💕
